Why have Shiatsu?

Whilst Shiatsu may help relieve symptoms of both chronic and acute discomfort and be extremely relaxing, I see the effects of receiving treatments in a broader way.

Our lives are full of challenges and opportunities; the way we meet them is partly dependent on our self-awareness and self-development. Shiatsu is a great way to bring the mind, body and emotions together into a larger experience. With this greater awareness we can meet life more fully in the knowledge that we are powerful beings. We will learn to feel all emotions and to allow ourselves to feel. We will come to understand what makes us happy and what gives us a sense of fulfilment, and to allow ourselves these satisfactions.

Shiatsu is in the main silent. The process is shared but at the level of the body and emotions not the intellect. In this way we give the mind an opportunity to let go of control, so that the heart and soul have a larger input in our lives.

Using Shiatsu diagnosis and its theoretical basis we will also look at practical ways in which the process can be continued after treatment.

Receiving Shiatsu can give insights to things in the subconscious and in bringing them into the conscious we can start the process of healing.
