About Simon Givertz MRSS(T)
Simon Givertz
BSc PhD DS MRSS(T)

Both Buddhism and Taoism have been important to me for over twenty years and I believe that to “simply be” is the ideal state. Being in nature is my way of reconnecting to that state and I try to recreate it when working with others.

My journey of mind/body connections is now over 20 years long and continues today. I have studied Karate, gaining a black belt in 1985; Aikido with Ki development, Yoga and Qi Gong and continue to study and play Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

I try to use three principles in my Shiatsu. Simplicity of touch, encouraging the client to reconnect with their body. Patience with the clients process and Compassion for the pain and turmoil we can find ourselves in.

I became a registered Shiatsu practitioner in 2002 and a registered teacher with the Shiatsu Society in 2006.

Having journeyed with cancer (in others and myself) I am now specialising in the support of those affected by cancer by working at the Penny Brohn Cancer Care centre in Bristol and at the Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford.

I also have a private practice in Ross on Wye.
